            Medical colleges play a central and critical role in quality health care of population. They provide essential services by providing tertiary health care, by producing competent health care professionals and by research to face the ever changing  challenges in the medical field.

            Teaching and training of undergraduate MBBS students is a great responsibility. Our goal is to produce competent medical graduates who can take care of health needs of society. Our efforts will be that at the end of MBBS course the medical graduate should be competent to provide preventive, promotive, curative, palliative and holistic care with compassion.

            The Science of Medicine is advancing in leaps and bounds. Keeping pace with advancing knowledge is a challenge. To keep abreast with the medical advancements, we need to have periodical CMEs and quality medical research.

Presently Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College Chamba is a budding institution. We have to achieve a lot in respect of infrastructure, health care delivery, academics and excellence. To reach our goal we need to put collective efforts by all the faculty and other staff of the institution. Time is not far away when Pt JLN Government Medical Chamba will be a Centre of excellence in every aspect.
